After falling out with bassist Peter Hook, the other three former members of New Order, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris and Phil Cunningham, have teamed up with Blur bassist Alex James for their new band, Bad Lieutenant.
The group have already recorded an album, which they intend to release in October, with plans for a live tour, including festival dates, for 2010.
Sumner told BBC Newsbeat, "I'm very proud of it, it's a very good album… It's pretty guitary too because we've got three guitarists in the band."
