Following the release of his debut solo album last year, Bloc Party's Kele Okereke has revealed that his next project is a book.

Okereke told NME that he plans to finish the book in New York over the coming weeks.
"I'm moving to Manhattan in the next couple of weeks. I'm writing a book and I want to go somewhere and finish it."

Though he did not say what kind of book he was working on or what it might be about, there's speculation that it may be a continuation of his work on a collection of short stories he was writing last summer. He had previously stated that the collection was an "erotic memoir detailing my experiences with groupies over the last five years".

All the way back in June, Okereke told Eye Magazine, "By the end of next week I want to finish them all so I can start looking at putting them out. I wrote them in 2009 when we were touring. There's just nothing to do when you're on the road all the time, so it's good to do something to engage my mind. We can expect some totally sexually charged material. We can expect some naming and shaming of celebrities as well. It's gonna be hot."

Kele also mention to NME that he has no immediate plans to reunite with his Bloc Party bandmates.
"We had a meeting before Christmas, but I'm just focused on the book at the moment. I'm not thinking about anything like that right now."
