Black Grape are to reform to play the Easter Get Loaded In The Dark Clubnight at London's Coronet on April 1st. The band that rose from the ashes of the Happy Mondays have not played live together since 1997.

Frontman Shaun Ryder said of the reunion, "It's great, it's interesting, it's part two. I've had a break and now I'm back to do it. [Fellow Black Grape member] Danny Saber and I have a great working relationship and the time is right." As well as Ryder and Saber, rapper Kermit is confirmed to appear in the reformed line up, NME.com report.

No more information has been revealed as to what the band are planning after the Coronet gig, or whether this reunion will be permanent . Shaun Ryder is also set to release a Greatest Hits album sometime in the summer.
