Beyonce's new album 4 has been met with a less than enthusiastic critical response (read our review here) and her record label have been forced to deny that they're unhappy with it. Billboard have reported that Columbia/Epic label group Chairmain Rob Stringer has denied saying he was less than thrilled with the album which forgoes her traditional club-jam style in favour of a more Whitney-esque ballad feel.

He said: "The story about us being unhappy with the record and stuff is just not true. There's never been any doubt or conversations about the moving the record or changing it… Those conversations never existed. We're really, really happy with it."
