The BBC has compiled two new programmes from their archive footage of U2. U2=BBC and U2=BBC: The History will feature exclusive BBC archive footage, including live performances and interviews.

BBC=U2 will centre on the band's February performance on the roof of the BBC's Broadcasting House in London, a performance which saw 5000 people watch from nearby streets, and was caught on film by aerial and rooftop cameras.

U2=BBC: The History will also include footage of this rooftop gig, as it follows almost 30 years of live performances from the BBC archive, including a performance on Top of The Pops.

The programmes are to be made available for sale to international broadcasters.
