Darren Wright, a fan of Guns N' Roses, has launched a lawsuit against the band’s lead singer Axl Rose after having had his teeth knocked out by the singer's microphone at a concert in Perth, Australia. Talk about an appetite for destruction..

Wright damaged his two front teeth after being hit by a microphone thrown into the crowd by Rose at the culmination of the band's set last Saturday night.

Speaking to The West Australian about the incident, Wright said: "with the bright lights and explosions, I couldn’t see anything. The next thing I knew, I was whacked in the mouth. I thought I had been punched. I was quite stunned and it took a few seconds to realise what was going on. I could feel bits of teeth in my mouth. Then someone is climbing through my legs to grab the microphone."

Legal proceedings have begun and Wright is requesting that Rose pay the estimated $5,000 costs of repairing his teeth. Tour promoter Andrew McManus contacted Wright and offered to give the signed microphone to him as a memento, but Wright has declined.

"I don’t think the microphone is going to fix the teeth", he said. Nope, quite the opposite actually.
