Well, there you have it. Another Arthur's Day is in the books and the, ahem, 254th anniversary of the Guinness brewing company has been well celebrated. Several high profile acts played intimate shows across the length and breadth of the country and some of the rumours flying about proved to be true and some false. Fatboy Slim, for example, didn't play in The Graduate at Killiney Shopping Centre (although Mika did!) and instead was present at Rearden's in Cork.

Mumford & Sons played two shows in Dublin last night. The first was to 300 fortunate souls in Toner's on Baggot Street and then later, with entertainment.ie present, on the main stage in Whelan's.

Elsewhere, Texas played in both Limerick AND Galway last night, Fun Lovin' Criminals were in Kazbar in Waterford and Tinie Tempah was in White's Tavern in Belfast. Primal Scream showed up in the Grand Social just around the corner from our offices.

Our favourite band The Strypes played two gigs in Dublin last night, the first at 6pm in the Turk's Head and then later, at 10pm, around the corner at Sweeney's on Dame Street.

Meanwhile, check out our podcasts with The Minutes and Huey Morgan from Fun Lovin' Criminals recorded over the past couple of days.
