Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helder has hinted that the band will release a new album this year.

The band, led by Alex Turner, have not released an album since their 2011 album 'Suck it and See'. When Helder was asked about what the new album might sound like he replied by saying '2013'. When probed further, the drummer said 'Well, we'd be stupid if we made a 2013 album and released it next year'. Sounds a little like sarcasm to us however he did confirm that the band were working on new material. He added 'There's no time deadlines or anything like that for release. We're just getting back into it, because it always takes a while to get back into it'.

Guess we'll have to wait and see if the new album materialises. As for what we can expect from a new album; Alex Turner has hinted that their new stuff will be heavier and louder.  He said it might 'go the direction of those heavier tunes, adding 'We did 'R U Mine?', and I think that's where it's going to be at for us for the next record.
