Arctic Monkeys have started work on their fourth album and hope to release it in 2011.

According to NME, the Sheffield band began recording session in LA at the end of 2010 with producer James Ford, who co-produced their last album 'Humbug' with QOTSA's Josh Homme.

Reports suggest that the group, fronted by Alex Turner, won't be ready to release the record until late Spring at the earliest.

Arctic Monkeys have been confirmed for Oxegen 2011, along with Foo Fighters, Blink 182 and Paolo Nutini.
