December is firmly upon us now and with that you can expect to see a whole lot of end of year 'Best Of' lists rolling out (look for ours soon!) and NME are among the first to do so.

The British publication have named Arctic Monkey's outstanding fifth album AM as 2013's best, beating Kanye West's Yeezus and Queens of the Stone Age's ...Like Clockwork into second and third place respectively.

As for best track, well, we think this was more of a formality as Daft Punk's Nile Rodgers inspired 'Get Lucky' took the top spot, with Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor' and Arctic Monkey's 'Do I Wanna Know?' completely the top three.

Meanwhile you can check out our reviews of Arctic Monkeys AM here. Stay tuned to see where it'll finish in our list of 2013's best releases, which we'll be rolling out in the coming days.
