Not a bad day for Irish gig announcements, is it? Earlier this morning we brought you news of Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, Imelda May and Lana Del Rey all announcing Irish shows and the latest to do so is none other than Elton John.

Elton will play The O2 in Dublin on 9th December, where he will be playing classic album tracks from his incredible five-decade career, including many from the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which will have its 40th Anniversary Special Edition release in March.

Tickets will go on sale from usual outlets nationwide at 9am on Friday 21st February.
