Damon Albarn has said that he will release a new album this year.
The former Blur man told BBC6Music that he's preparing for the release of a record in July that will feature over 100 musicians, a Chinese choir and an orchestra.
Although he would not confirm whether it had anything to do with his previous musical projects, it's believed that the album will tie in with his opera 'Monkey: Journey to the West'.
"There's a monkey or two in there at least," he said, "a bit like Gorillaz as well. It's not an opera, though, it's a proper record".
