Brittany Howard, vocalist for one of 2012's breakout acts Alabama Shakes, has been robbed at gunpoint after a performance by her side-project Thunderbitch in Nashville.

According to reports in the Nashville Scene, Howard and some friends were held up while sitting on the front porch of Andrija Tokic, the owner of renowned recording studio The Bomb Shelter.

The perpetrators were described as being skinny males, aged around 15 or 16 years old. They are said to have walked up to Howard and her friends with firearms drawn, making away with mobile phones and a small amount of cash.

Howard, nor any of her friends, were harmed in the incident.
