Rumours which initially surfaced in December which suggested that Adele would be making her music comeback at this year’s Grammy Awards have been proven true. The Londoner had been out of action since undergoing throat surgery in November to repair vocal cord damage.

The singer Tweeted: "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx." Adele later said in an official statement that she was “immensely proud” to be performing at this year’s event.

"It's an absolute honour to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."
Adele is nominated for six awards, including album of the year and best pop album for her landmark record 21. The ceremony will be held on February 12th and will be hosted by LL Cool J.
