Adele has been asked if she'd be interested in playing Dusty Springfield in an upcoming film. The singer, who's already won an Oscar for her theme tune to Skyfall, has been approached to star in a film based on Dusty Springfield's time in the US.
It's early days yet, but a script is being written by Boardwalk Empire scribe David Stenn, although no director has been attached so far. We're not really sure about this one. Much as we love Adele, nobody's really checked to see if she can, well, act. That's not to say she can't, it's just there's more to it than just turning up on set and saying the lines and stuff.
There's been more than a few singers / musicians who've tried to make a go of acting and failed miserably. Madonna's the first one that springs to mind. You could say Justin Timberlake as well, although we kinda liked him in Runner Runner and his work on SNL has been pretty funny.
