January is generally a pretty quiet time of year for festivals - but a new one is taking place by the Cliffs of Moher in a few weeks.

Music Minds is a multi-disciplinary festival that will host workshops, live shows, guest speakers, debates and films for those 'interested in advancing music' across three days.

It'll take place at the Doolin Hotel in Co. Clare from January 17th - 19th and is being billed as 'a place for musical minds to gather, network and be entertained'.

Performers taking part include Daithi, Bantum, Susan O'Neill, Ships, Solkatt and more, while there are also a number of behind-the-scenes names, including producer Leo Abrahams, mastering engineer Fergal Davis and DJ/record label owner Ray Wingnut.

Many of them will host or take part in masterclasses and workshops, and some will play live.
