The Fab Four's story has been well documented over the years - but what about the man who helped steer them to fame and glory?

Brian Epstein took The Beatles under his wing after seeing them playing The Cavern Club in 1961, and in less than a year, the Liverpool band were global stars. Paul McCartney dubbed him 'the fifth Beatle' for his influence in their success, but he died of an accidental drug overdose in 1967, at the age of 32 .

Now, his story is going to be told on the big screen as a biopic of his life is in the works.

'Midas Man: The Brian Epstein Story' will be directed by Jonas Akerlund, the man behind music videos by the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones and more. He has also directed the black metal feature documentary 'Lords of Chaos'.

The film will be shot in Liverpool, London and the US, according to Variety - and is set for release in 2021. It's not yet known who will play the lead role.
