It's the latest trend adopted by popstars who wish to get off social media in anticipation of releasing new music. Ex-Girl's Aloud singer Cheryl has deleted all of her posts from Instagram, which seems to indicate she'll soon be dropping some fresh tunes.

The trend was started by Taylor Swift last year, who deleted all of her posts on the social media site before releasing 'Look What You Made Me Do'. And apparently Miley Cyrus has adopted the trend earlier this year too (and has yet to resurface).

Cheryl's social media profile has been left completely blank. All except for a not-so-cryptic hashtag, "#LoveMadeMeDoIt ¯_(ツ)_/¯." 'Love Made Me Do It' is believed to be her new single.

The 35-year-old singer hasn't released new music since her fourth album in 2014, 'Only Human'. The album peaked at number nine in the Irish charts.

We're due to get new music from Cheryl very soon. She's been confirmed to play Hits Radio Live 2018 on 25th November in the Manchester Arena. Other artists at the concert include Little Mix, Zara Larsson, and Ellie Goulding.

Since her hiatus from singing, Cheryl has been acting as a judge on BBC's 'Greatest Dancer' TV show. The new format will launch in 2019, and is the brainchild of Simon Cowell. The last time Cheryl tweeted, was about the show's auditions in August:

Her new track, 'Love Made Me Do It' is believed to refer to her romances with exes Liam Payne, Ashley Cole, and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. She's not stealing many ideas from Taylor Swift at all, is she?
