Foster Child director Brillante Mendoza heads back out on the streets to explore the harsh realities of life in Manila by following a daring nighttime raid on a bustling squatter neighborhood and embracing the chaos that quickly follows. In this lawless section of Manila, to steal is to survive. While there are some innocents to be found here, many will steal wallets and jewelry without a second though if it means being able to afford a meal that night. Now, as the heavily armed police ransack homes and kick down doors, the desperate residents of this impoverished neighborhood discover just how unforgiving the streets can be.
