Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are in talks to reunite for the new comedy Daddy's Home, with Wahlberg replacing Ferrell's original co-star, Vince Vaughn.

The two lads previously starred in the hit comedy, The Other Guys, which was one of the many successful Ferrell/Adam McKay collaborations (Anchorman, Step Brothers etc) and really saw Wahlberg shine in a comedy role.

Yeah, it was funny stuff so it's good news he's doing comedy again and doing it with Ferrell; while McKay will produce with directing duties falling to Sean Anders and John Morris - who penned Horrible Bosses and We're the Millers.

Wahlberg will play a divorced father, vying for the affections of his kid with his Step Father, played by Ferrell.
