The hilarious Elizabeth Banks looks set to star opposite Russell Crowe is The Next Three Days, an adaptation of the French thriller Pour Elle. We're more used to seeing Banks flexing her comedic muscles in the likes of Wet Hot American Summer, Zach and Miri Make A Porno, Role Models and The Forty Year Old Virgin but she has proved to be more than adept at dramatic roles too, with stellar performances as Laura Bush in W and in Seabiscuit. Paul Haggis (Crash) is to write and direct this effort, which centres on an ordinary couple who find themselves in an extraordinary situation which will test them to their very core. Banks will return to her comedic roots after shooting Days, and will star alongside Leslie Mann in What Was I Thinking?
