Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in an untitled new comedy from As Good As It Gets and Broadcast News director James L. Brooks. Witherspoon was slated to star in Cameron Crowe's latest effort, but that has apparently been pushed back, leaving her free to work with actors favourite and Oscar winner, Brooks. The Cameron Crowe comedy will still go ahead in July, while very little is known about both films. Brooks last directed Spanglish, and enjoyable dramedy that starred Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni, and has been a producer on The Simpsons for years.
