The trailer for 'King Richard', which is based on the life of Richard Williams, has dropped.
Will Smith plays Richard, who is the father of sports superstars Venus and Serena Williams.
The tennis coach raised and trained the athletes. He started giving them tennis lessons when they were just four and a half years old.
He helped bring the sisters from the streets of Compton, California, to the global stage.
Will Smith has previously taken on real-life figures in such films as 'Ali', 'The Pursuit of Happyness' and 'Concussion'. He received Oscar nominations for the former two.
Also starring in 'King Richard' are Aunjanue Ellis, Saniyaa Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, Andy Bean, Kevin Dunn and Craig Tate.
Reinaldo Marcus Green ('Monsters and Men') directs while Zach Baylin, who has also signed up to co-write the upcoming 'Creed III', penned the script.
The movie comes out just in time for awards season so no doubt Will Smith will be vying for another Oscar nomination.
Could it be third time lucky for the Fresh Prince?
The actor is also signed up for the fourth 'Bad Boys' installment as well as a sequel to Netflix movie 'Bright'.
'King Richard' hits cinemas nationwide on 19th November 2021.
