With all this Scream 4 hoopla knocking about, Wes Craven has finally come out and spewed some stuff about his involvement with a third sequel to the hugely popular franchise: "There has been talk between Bob Weinstein and me about doing another Scream" but added cautiously: "My last experience (with the Weinsteins) was kind of rough with Cursed so (a return to Scream) would have to be under very very controlled circumstances". The malarkey he’s talking about with Cursed is the fact that he had to reshoot the entire film, after the brothers grim continuously interfered with the production. The original draft of Cursed (by Scream scripter Kevin Williamson) was lauded as an irony laden werewolf flick very much in the vein of Scream; but after much reshoots it was a shell of its initial shooting script. Again, if Craven and Williamson are back this could be awesome. If not, then it’s a pointless, cynical cash in.
