We've just had a gander at the new trailer for Parkland, the movie that chronicles the tragic killing of American President John F Kennedy. Initial thoughts? Well it's certainly packed to the rafters with Oscar winners and Oscar nominees; always a good sign. Zac Efron as the young doctor who was landed with the insurmountable task of operating on the world's most important man? We're not so sure, but eager as he is to prove himself as an actor who can hold his own amongst the heavyweights, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

The movie focuses entirely on the shooting of Kennedy and its aftermath, the interrogation of presumed assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, along with his family's experience of the event.

Peter Landesman is at the helm here. Many a director would jump at the chance to offer their telling of such a widely publicised, historical event and one that had great influence and impact around the world for decades to come. Will he deliver?

The movie is based on the book Four Days in November by Vincent Bugliosi.

Stars include Paul Giamatti, Ron Livingston, Marcia Gay Harden, Billy Bob Thornton, James Badge Dale, Jacki Weaver, Jackie Earle Haley, Colin Hanks, David Harbour, Tom Welling and Jeremy Strong.
