Saoirse Ronan stars in this dark vampire flick alongside Gemma Arterton and it's a far cry from those Twilight films. The story spans over 200 years where mother and daughter vampires have been causing trouble in a seaside English town. The story centres on two plots; Eleanor (Ronan) and her relationship with a sick young boy and Clara (Arterton) and her brothel business. But things start to go wrong when their secret is threatened and their lives put into danger. You can check out the trailer for the film below and if we do say so it looks pretty awesome.

The film is directed by Neil Jordan, the filmmaker behind Interview with the Vampire, and is based on a play by Moira Buffini. Mostly shot in Ireland, Ronan and Arterton will be joined by Jonny Lee Miller, Caleb Landry Jones, Sam Riley and Tom Hollander. Byzantium is released on the 31st May.
