We're mainly used to Nick Offerman being the curmudgeonly Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation and for being the kind of dude that will record himself drinking whiskey by the fire just for the hell of it. So we're not sure how we feel about him starring in this upcoming flick called Hears Beat Loud which looks very charming and sweet.
Offerman will play a music-loving single dad to daughter Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Transparent) who is soon off too college but the pair end up getting recognition for a song they make together.
It's got a great cast too including Ted Danson, Toni Collette, Blythe Danner, and Sasha Lane. It also has a catchy soundtrack and earned decent reviews after its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2018.
So perhaps we should leave our scepticism aside, but one thing's for sure, Ron Swanson would definitely not be a fan.
