The answer to whether or not we'll be seeing Noomi Rapace in some shape or form in 'Alien: Covenant' was hidden online in an Easter egg hunt that fans quickly got to the end of.

Ridley Scott's return to the 'Alien' universe was bound to try and tie together strings from the different films (most notably Michael Fassbender's return as a very similar but different android) and a new teaser let fans see just how Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw from 'Prometheus' will be involved.

At the end of that teaser, viewers got the blink-and-you'll-miss-it '#emohemekat', which led curious minds to this extended Instagram teaser that appears to show Shaw piloting the very ship that Covenant's batch of explorers finds. Or a hologram/recording of her doing so at least.

Whether that ties the entire 'Alien' universe up into a neat bow or not remains to be seen.

Here's the official synopsis:

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

'Alien: Covenant' is set for release in Irish cinemas on May 12th.
