Although he'll be back on our screens this December as Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill spent the intervening years creating one of the most well-loved iterations of The Joker.

Fans will remember his distinctive cackling from the fantastic animated series that ran in the mid '90s and, more recently, in the Arkham series of videogames.

This video, which was created a few years ago, has Hamill recreate the chilling scene where Joker captures one of the Batman impostors and videotapes himself talking to him.

There's no footage to go along with, obviously, but it does give you a sense of what Hamill's voice does to a well-known scene.

Have a listen.

And here's the original for comparison. They both work brilliantly well, but it's Hamill's high-strung laugh that makes it all the more creepy.
