We couldn't be happier that JK Simmons is finally getting the credit and kudos that he deserves.

If you haven't yet watched Oz, rectify it now and bask in Simmons' legitimately terrifying character, Verne Schillinger.

And if you haven't yet watched Whiplash, you really need to sort that out because this sketch won't really mean anything to you.

Simmons wrote a little ditty about his time caught in the snow-storm in New York, but couldn't get the cast of SNL to play along with him.

Needless to say, he went all Whiplash on them. Until ex-SNL member Fred Armisen turned up and reminded us of the massive gap in quality between current SNL and mid-2000's SNL.

Take a look!
