You really can tell George Takei's voice from a mile off.

It's so distinctive and bassy and, as well, it's just a great voice. However, getting Takei to do the voiceover for a small viral video with a VHS aesthetic for X-Men: Apocalypse hits us as kinda strange, to be honest. Did George Takei do voiceover stuff like this in between Star Trek movies in the '80s?

Maybe. After all, Ricardo Montalban did car commercials in the '80s, Leonard Nimoy did a commercial for Laserdiscs, an early precursor to DVDs, and William Shatner probably did loads of commercials as well. So yeah, guess it makes sense.

Right, that's enough filler. Watch the video already.
