If Toy Story, Wall-E or Inside Out has proven anything, it's that Pixar can take an unusual or unfamiliar story and make it into a terrifically engaging story.

Disney Pixar's latest offering, Coco, follows a young boy who dreams of becoming a musician - despite his family's generations-long ban on music. Attempting to prove himself, Miguel somehow finds himself in the beautiful and colourful Land of the Dead and meets with a trickster called Hector, voiced by Gael Garcia Bernal. Before long, Miguel and Hector are journeying through the Land of the Dead as Miguel discovers his family's history.

Coco lands in Irish cinemas on December 1st. Here's the first trailer.
