Vin Diesel has yapped about the back to back sequels that will follow the huge global and, surprising critical, success of Fast 5.

Diesel, who also produces the franchise, spewed to The Hollywood Reporter "With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space." He added, "We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages," Diesel explained. "The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’"

I met Diesel and the cast in Rio for the junket for Fast 5 and it seemed everyone knew they were on to a winner. The box office for the fourth sequel now stand at a staggering $626 million. By far a franchise best.
