UPDATE: Peter Dinklage is now said to be taking on the role of a villain in X-Men: Days of Future Past. While yesterday Singer had kept quiet about the specifics of the role he'd play, Variety have now reported that he will assume the role of "the main antagonist", set more than a decade after the events which unfolded in First Class.

Another actor has just joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past; Peter Dinklage. Tweeting the news, as he often does, director Bryan Singer informed his eager fans of his mounting excitement as the film approaches. "Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!" Singer tweeted yesterday via his personal account.

The Game of Thrones star will join many of the returning cast for a movie that bases itself on the 1981 story in Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men. As per The Hollywood Reporter, Days of Future Past will include both the 1960s First Class characters as well as a future version of the original trilogy characters. What's more, the original trilogy actors are believed to be appearing primarily in scenes that depict a dystopian future.

Dinklage joins rank with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult as well as original trilogy cast members Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore.

Could we be dealing with a more impressive cast? I think not.
