James Franco's long-awaited biopic of the making of the world's worst film, The Room, is beginning to take shape.

In a recent interview, Franco - who wrote, starred and directed the film - confirmed that he's begun editing the filming and, more importantly, that Tommy Wiseau himself has a cameo in the film. "Contractually, we had to give him a cameo opposite me, which was very weird because I was playing him. I don’t know if that’ll end up in the movie or not, but it was a surreal experience to say the least," explained Franco.

The film is based on Greg Sistero's bestselling memoir, The Disaster Artist, which charted the early career and production of The Room. The book itself has become an award-winning bestseller and was picked up for adaptation by Seth Rogen and James Franco, two longtime fans of the film.

James Franco will play Tommy Wiseau whilst his younger brother, Dave, will play Greg Sestero. In the original film, Sestero played Mark of "OH HAI, MARK" fame.

There's no official release date set for The Disaster Artist as the film is now in post-production, but we're keeping an eye out because we have to see how James Franco manages a Tommy Wiseau accent.
