Released on Christmas Day in 1993, 'Tombstone' was one of two Westerns based on the life of Wyatt Earp that saw release that year.
The other was 'Wyatt Earp', directed by Lawrence Kasdan and starred Kevin Costner in the lead role. 'Tombstone' was more successful, following on from the resurgence in Westerns from 1992's 'Unforgiven'.
Regularly cited as one of Kurt Russell's best roles, 'Tombstone' turns 25 this week and had a storied production along the way. Three directors worked on the movie, not to mention that a real-life descendant of Wyatt Earp was also cast in the movie.
Take a look.
