Here at entertainment.ie, we have professed our undying love for Bill Murray many times. Read all about right here. Without a shadow of a doubt, his best movie has got to be Groundhog Day, released all the way back in 1993. Bill Murray plays Phil Connors, a cynical, self-centered weatherman who hates his job and everybody around him. Sent to rural Puxsatawney, Pennsylvania for the annual Groundhog Day festival with his camera crew, he's stranded by a freak snowstorm that nobody could predict. Tired and weather-beaten, he returns to his rural B&B to sleep it off - only to discover he's repeating the same day over and over.

When you say it out loud, it seems like heavy stuff. After all, the idea of being trapped in a single day and being forced to repeat it over and over again is pretty dark. The initial script made reference to this fact, but director Harold Ramis - who also cameos as the short-sighted doctor - felt that it needed to be somewhat lighter. Bill Murray gives, undoubtedly, the performance of his career as Phil Connors. Mixing his unique charm, dry wit and that deadpan expression of his, he manages to change us from ambivalence against his character to, well, loving him.

What's even better is that you can see this cult comedy classic tomorrow evening at Grand Social, Dublin. WhySoSerious are screening Groundhog Day, free of charge, at 8PM tomorrow at Grand Social.

All the details are up on Facebook and it promises to be a great night!
