The Japanese Film Festival is to make its annual pilgrimage across this country, where it will screen films in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick from October 29th until November 14th.
The increasingly popular festival is organised by the folks at Access Cinema who have spewed "Besides animation, there are relatively few Japanese films released into Irish cinemas; with this in mind the Festival aims to foster a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society among Irish citizens and to strengthen the cultural ties between the two countries. There will be a number of special cultural events at certain venues."
Look for the festival in your town on the following dates:
29th - 31st October / University College Cork / The Cinemobile
1st - 2nd November / University of Limerick / Campus screening room
5th - 7th November / Galway / The Cinemobile (Waterside, beside the Courthouse)
11th - 14th November / Dublin / Cineworld
