We're pretty similar to the Brits in many ways (c'mon, we are - stag parties, X Factor and Coronation St have tied us together in ways that peace talks never could) but do we share the same taste in horror movies?

Digital Spy tell us that UK bakery chain Greggs recently conducted a survey where they asked 1,000 people what they thought was the scariest horror film.

Number one was The Exorcist, which claimed the win with 18% of votes, followed by The Shining, Saw, A Nightmare on Elm Street (what? that's a comedy!) and The Ring.

Making up the rest of the top ten were Poltergeist, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Chucky (comedy with blood) and Scream (comedy with gore) - so pretty much all of the usual suspects.

What do you think? Would The Exorcist have come out on top in an Irish poll? What movie would you have nominated to take the top spot? Let us know below.
