'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' (or 'Hero Turtles', as they were known on this side of the pond) is a cartoon that many of us have grown up with.

The franchise has been through numerous iterations - first in animated form, then as a Hollywood film in the 1990s, and most recently in 2014 with a live action version starring Will Arnett and Megan Fox.

Now it's getting a new animated reboot under the watchful gaze of Seth Rogen's production company - who are collaborating with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon on the film.

Rogen will also voice Bebop in the film, which also features the voices of John Cena (Rocksteady), Jackie Chan (Splinter), Paul Rudd (Mondo Gecko), Giancarlo Esposito (Baxter Stockman), Rose Byrne (Leatherhead), Maya Rudolph (Cynthia Ultrom) and even rappers Post Malone (Ray Fillet) and Ice Cube (Superfly).

The four turtles Raphael, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Leonardo, meanwhile, will be voiced by Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon.

The reaction to the trailer, meanwhile, has been mostly positive with many commenting on the similarities in animation style with 2018's 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'.

The film will be released in cinemas on August 4th.
