Oscar winning director Steven Soderbergh has cast the lead role in his latest low budget endeavour, The Girlfriend Experience. Porn star Sasha Gray (that's her over yonder at the premiere of Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge) will take the title role of a prostitute who charges serious dough, not just to partake in the usual activities that come with such a profession, but to actually offer the service of a "girlfriend". I'm not sure if that means complaining about Sky Sports News being on all the time, or even if that's extra; but it is based on a company of high class call girls in America who charge up to $30,000 a month for said experience. Personally, I'd dock a grand every time she complained about the toilet seat being up. Soderbergh continues to be nothing if not consistent, as his Che double header awaits release, while he just wrapped Matt Damon starrer The Informer. It's not clear how sexually explicit it will be, but one thing is for sure; she won't be getting rescued by Richard Gere come the end.
