Both of the stars of the new, and excellent, AMC series The Killing have bagged major movie roles.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mireille Enos, has landed the role of Brad Pitt’s wife in the huge budgeted zombie book adaptation, World War Z. Pitt is playing a U.N. worker. Enos will be his wife, and mother of their two girls. The actress is detective Sarah Linden in The Killing, which is unfolding beautifully five episodes in. Her co-star, Joel Kinnaman, has joined the thriller Safe House, which has Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds starring. The Swedish actor will play the guy who runs the aforementioned safe gaff.

The show premiered on AMC (who also produced Mad Men and The Walking Dead) to its best numbers since 'Dead', and will surely return for a second season. It's got a Twin Peaks vibe, with the kind of character expansion and broad plot interaction of The Wire. That good.
