'Spider-Man: No Way Home' has gotten its first official trailer, after a version of it unfortunately leaked online the day before.

The third Spider-Man movie following Tom Holland's Peter Parker is set to hit cinemas right in time for Christmas.

As previously announced, Jon Watts returns to the director's seat.

He previously helmed Spidey outings 'Homecoming' in 2017 and 'Far From Home' in 2019.

Aside from Holland, returning cast members include Zendaya as MJ; Marisa Tomei as Mary Parker; and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.

They're joined by Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.

The official synopsis for the threequel reads: "For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero.

"When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

In essence it's not just Loki. Peter Parker also manages to seriously mess things up and create a multiverse...

Fans of previous iterations of the teen superhero can also look forward to seeing Willem Dafoe back as the Green Goblin; and Alfred Molina returning as Doc Oc.

'Spider-Man: No Way Home' swings into cinemas on December 17th.
