The new 'Spider-Man' movie is proving ever more interesting.

According to reports, both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have signed on to star in 'Spider-Man 3'.

Tobey played Spidey in the original trilogy from 2002 to 2007 while Garfield took over the role in the 2012 movie 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and its sequel.

Currently Tom Holland plays the superhero, also known as Peter Parker.

His third solo outing as the character, which follows 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and 'Far From Home', doesn't have a name yet.

Fandomwire broke the news of the former Spider-Men signing on via a source at Sony.

It follows the revelation that not only is Jamie Foxx reprising his role as Electro for the movie; but Benedict Cumberbatch will be back as Doctor Strange too.

There are currently no plot details. Marvel and Sony have been keeping their lips sealed.

But with all these characters returning, it looks like the threequel will be exploring the multiverse established in 'Avengers: Endgame'.

'Spider-Man 3' recently began filming in Atlanta with Jon Watts back in the director's seat.
