Battleship is shaping up to fill the blockbuster shaped hole in the season where Transformers once reigned supreme.
Starring up and coming heartthrob Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Rihanna and Alexander Skarsgard, it's ostensibly based on the hugely popular board game of the same name - jus, y'know, with aliens. Effects look pretty spectacular, and Peter Berg is a director who always does something interesting with what he's given. He's like Michael Mann filtered through Tony Scott - what's not to like?
