Sylvester Stallone is set to star in and direct The Expendables an action film that has already cast Jason Statham in a main role, with Jet Li in advanced negotiations to join him. According to Variety, the film follows a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator. While it doesn't appear to be a million miles away from Rambo, that is still a cracking action cast and has "carnage-ridden fun" written all over it. Let's hope Sly can pen some more classic lines like: "f**k the world", which was my personal favourite from the last Rambo. Flick is due to start shooting in Louisiana in February.
