David Silverman (who has helmed both The Simpsons Movie and the downright awesome Monsters, Inc.) is to direct the live-action sci-fi family comedy The Pet. Plot sees an everyday Joe become a pet for a bunch of aliens. Quite the funny sounding plot; why has no one thought of that before? You could really see the likes of Will Ferrell run with this to hugely amusing effect; so here’s hoping someone of that calibre signs on. Then again, Tim Allen is always free...
