Shia LaBeouf is set to join House of Cards star Kate Mara and Gary Oldman in the psychological thriller 'Man Down.'
LaBeouf has always worked consistently, despite personal issues, and will next be seen opposite Brad Pitt in the war drama Fury. For Man Down he'll work with Dito Montiel who directed LaBeouf to some of his best work in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it.
According to Variety, the Transformers star will play "a haunted Afghanistan war veteran who attempts to come to terms with his past while searching for his family in a post-apocalyptic America."
Jaysus. That sounds super dark.
For all the crap LaBeouf comes out with and his aforementioned personal problems, the lad can act. Hopefully he's over the former and can excel properly at the latter.
