It's all go for Sharon Horgan these days, not only has she the fourth season of 'Catastrophe' on the way, a production deal with Amazon, and an upcoming series for RTÉ2 called 'Women on the Verge', she's now going to be directing her first feature film.
Deadline has reported that Horgan, who created HBO’s 'Divorce' and co-created 'Pulling' and 'Motherland' for BBC, is set to direct a feature version of Chris Adrian & Eli Horowitz’s eponymous novel 'The New World'.
It follows the story of a recently widowed woman called Jane whose husband assigned his head to be frozen with a shadowy organization that promises to do away with mortality forever. Turns out, Jim is in some strange afterlife place and Jane sets out to find his head.
Yeah sounds a bit mad, but no doubt Horgan can pull it off.
'The New World' will be produced by Olivia Wilde and Alicia Van Couvering while Sarah Ruhl wrote the screenplay.
