The Sex And The City movie broke records on its first weekend of release stateside, as it became the highest opening R rated comedy of all time with a huge bow of just under $57 million. Women obviously came out in packs for the film which has seen a largely positive response from audiences. Indiana Jones slid slightly in its second week, but passed the $200 million mark after coining a further $44 million; while newbie horror flick The Strangers, starring Liv Tyler, opened bigger than expected with a solid $20.8 million, off of a paltry $9 million budget. Elsewhere, Iron Man took its blockbusting total to $276 million, while What Happens In Vegas continued to inexplicably pull in the crowds with a haul of $65 million.
